Class Information: The Vintage Compass is a great example of a beginner compass design. Some of the techniques taught will include foundation piecing long points and curved piecing. This is a three-session class. In the first class, we will review the pattern and template organization; and begin sewing the Compass Units. The 2nd class will be paper piecing Curved border units. The last class will be catch up and assembly. You may not finish the quilt in class but will learn the skills needed to finish it at home. I encourage you to use Quiltster to color your quilt. Quiltster is a color design subscription-based software (it is accessed via the internet) for coloring Quiltworx patterns. It is available from www.Quiltster.com for a nominal fee. If you decide not to subscribe to Quiltster, I can help you color your quilt using my copy of Quiltster. Please let me know if you would like me to help you with your colors. It will help if you have an idea of the colors that you would like to use in your quilt. Once you have colored your quilt, Quiltster will give you a yardage table to help with fabric purchases. Please have your fabric cut for the first class as shown in Class 1 Instructions. Please read the pattern before class. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail. Thanks…See you in class!!!
