Join this one day class to fine tune your piecing skills, and make this adorable Sparrow block. We will learn a quick technique for making half-square triangles, the “stitch-and flip” method and practice an accurate 1/4” seam allowance. During class, we will cut and assemble left and right facing blocks and discuss the sashing and borders so you will be able to finish the project in your own time. 

Supply List: Sparrows Pattern by Pen + Paper Patterns

- Sewing machine with 1/4” foot, basic sewing supplies, cotton piecing thread, rotary cutter with new blade

- water soluble marking pen

Fabric requirements for 4 blocks only: 1/2 yd solid for the background

            4 FQs for the bird’s body, head and chest

            1 FQ for the beak and tail, 1 FQ for the Half-square triangles

            4” x 4” scrap dk blue or black for the eye
