It uses many current paper piecing techniques developed by Quiltworx and introduces new processes and techniques. There are 7 classes for this quilt, each covering one or more techniques. We will use Quiltster to color our quilts in the first class or finalize fabric choices. Please have an idea of the colors that you would like to use in your quilt. You do not need to bring your sewing machine for the first class. We will review the instruction booklets, review cutting papers, setting up fabric charts and organization. During class, you will learn the paper piecing technique and then go home to complete the units. The last class will be assembling the quilt top. The classes will be a month or so apart to allow plenty of time to complete the units prior to the next class. A good rule of thumb is to purchase additional fabric in each color. I will generally round up fabric yardage to the next quarter yard. This is just in case you run short or for mistakes that can happen (and do!) while cutting or piecing. Save your scraps – you could possibly need them later. You will need to purchase the pattern from me in the first session or before the first session. If you have any questions prior to class – please contact me before class. Thanks and see you in class!! This is a FUN quilts to make!!! Susan 303-859-6064 ssears6804@aol.com
