EQ8 HANDS ON
Bring your computer with EQ loaded and spend time exploring the program. Design blocks, quilts and borders from scratch and from the EQ library. Learn about libraries, block design, quilt layouts, printing, yardage estimates and other tools. Learn to adapt patterns from magazines, add fabrics to the program and more.
This hands-on tour of the program will give you the confidence to explore more on your own and make it work for you. There will be projects for beginners to advanced students.
Supply list: Bring a notebook, pen, computer power cords, an extension cord and/or a power strip. Bring a computer with EQ8 loaded. (The program does NOT run on an IPad). Two could share a computer.
Before class, log on to EQ and look around. This updates your program from your HOME internet. If you have not used EQ for 45 days, it will ask you to click an “update” button.
If you are new to EQ, please load the program at home—it needs to access your home internet the first time.
Also, be sure you have the most current edition of EQ. To check, go to the home page and click on “product details”.
For EQ 8 on a PC, you should have version 1.1.0.3. If not, click the “update“ button. (That number may be different on a Mac and on EQ7).
As a reminder, bring a notebook & pen, your passwords, power cords, and a computer with EQ7 or EQ8 loaded. Bring any EQ manuals or books you happen to have.
Make notes of questions you have.
Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated. If not vaccinated, please wear a mask.
