During this year long class, we will meet monthly to learn techniques and innovations to create this Jen Kingwell pattern, which is quickly becoming a cult classic! Learn design modifications to make your “small world” unique and personal, while honing your piecing skills.

The finished quilt finishes approximately 33” x 52”. Supply list: • “My Small World” by Jen Kingwell pattern booklet available at Lyons Quilting • Fabric: Fabric scraps, FQs and low volume background fabrics for sky as listed on back of pattern. Backing and binding fabric requirements to be discussed. • 1 sheet template plastic • Rotary Cutter with a new blade! Cutting mats and irons are provided. • Sewing machine in good working order with a 1/4” foot, new 80/12 needle, power cord, foot pedal and bobbins. For thread, I like Aurifil in a neutral color. • General sewing supplies/notions to include fine pins, scissors, Clover clips, seam ripper, and I strongly recommend Mary Ellen’s Best Press or Acorn Precision Piecing Products. Pre-class preparation: Please read through the pattern booklet. During our first class meeting, we will discuss fabric selection and working with scraps. We will take a break for lunch, so please bring something from home (we have a fridge and microwave in the classroom) or you can run out to a local restaurant for takeout. Teacher will provide tea, coffee and treats!
