BORDERS GALORE

Make this deceptively simple table runner using multiple borders.  You’ll learn to make a basic border, pieced border, skinny border, Amish corners and metered corners, and you’ll take home a lovely table runner, ready to be quilted.  Now you can put any type of border on your quilts!

Before class:

Heavily starch each piece of fabric—I like to use a spray starch such as Niagra or Faultless.

Pin the fabric number onto each piece of fabric so they don’t get mixed up.

Sewing machine

Quarter Inch presser foot if available

Rotary cutting equipment—24” long ruler & cutter (mat is provided by the shop)

Optional but nice to have—6” or 9” square ruler

Thread that coordinates

Basic sewing supplies—pins, seam ripper, thread snips, extra machine needles, etc.

Bring a sack lunch, or the shop can help you order a lunch from a local restaurant—cash only for the lunch, please.
