BEGINNER MACHINE PIECING - Jul 14, 2021 10:00 am
This class is an introduction to machine piecing that will teach you the basic building blocks from cutting to borders.
We will begin with lectures covering quilting tools and supplies, fabric selection, threads, rotary cutting, etc. We will also have a demonstration on routine cleaning of your machine. During the following weeks, we will work on the basic building blocks and techniques for piecing blocks including four patch, nine patch, half square triangles, quarter square triangles, flying geese, curves, and square in a square. Emphasis will be placed on quarter inch seam allowance, matching corners and triangle points. The end result will be a 9 block sampler quilt of all the building blocks that are covered in class.
